CIT certifies importer class in IEEPA tariff refund case against CBP

The U.S. Court of International Trade granted Freestyle World, Inc.'s motion for class certification and appointment of class counsel in Freestyle World, Inc. v. United States, Court No. 26-01088, Slip Op. 26-123, certifying an injunctive class under USCIT Rule 23(b)(2) of all importers of record who paid duties under the challenged tariff orders between February 1, 2025 and February 19, 2026, excluding entities that filed separate actions to recover IEEPA duties.
