CIT denies reconsideration in Tianjin Magnesium AD review of pure magnesium from China
Tianjin Magnesium Int'l Co. v. United States
The U.S. Court of International Trade denied Tianjin Magnesium International Co., Ltd. and Tianjin Magnesium Metal Co., Ltd.'s motion for reconsideration in Court No. 25-00002, Slip Op. 26-96, issued August 14, 2026. The motion challenged the court's March 13, 2026 opinion and order in Tianjin Magnesium I, which sustained in part and remanded in part Commerce's final results of the antidumping duty administrative review of pure magnesium from China for the period May 1, 2022, through April 30, 2023. The court found the plaintiffs misread its earlier opinion, conflating Bulgarian export data with production data, and that they failed to show reconsideration was necessary.
